Our friends at Duke’s Malibu offer a beautiful private event space that’s perfect for any celebration – from rehearsal dinners, to bridal showers, to intimate wedding gatherings. It’s the perfect oceanfront destination right in Malibu.
A few months ago, the Wedding Salon HQ made an exciting move to a new office space and since then we’ve been looking at ways to liven it up and design it to really represent our brand. With chic decor, modern furniture and a clean white-black-red color scheme, we still wanted to add a personal touch. We had binders and binders of professional photos from our events throughout the year – including the Wedding Salon showcases and weddings planned by 4PM Events that we just had to showcase. Our solution? We worked with the team at Party Standups to create oversized poster boards of some of our best event photos to hang around the office, and couldn’t be happier!
Party Standups is the perfect solution to making your event come to life, with replicated cut-outs, to cartoons, real-life photos, themes, or even decor – all catering to your taste and personality. And don’t worry about quality being compromised with the size – their work is laser-cut for extreme precision and detail.
You’re planning a wedding so you understand what stress is like. Stress is dangerous to your health and makes you extremely uncomfortable. If you’ve been planning your wedding for a long time you know how your body handles this stress and what you have (or haven’t) been trying to reduce the amount and actually start to enjoy this amazing experience. For Wellness Wednesday, we’re bringing to light some of the most common and surprising symptoms that are telling you: you’re stressed out.
1. Eye Twitching
Have you’re eyes started twitching? If so, you’re under a lot of stress. The condition is temporary but can be worrisome if you didn’t know what it was. Exercise your eyes for at least 20 minutes by looking at something other than a computer, smart phone or tablet. Moving your eyes around and giving them a break will help.
2. Odd Dreams
If you’ve been have more frequent nightmares or vivid dreams then you need to dial back on the stress. These dreams are usually coming back over and over and reflect something that has been bothering you in life. This is a way to address the issue and figure out what is making you tense.
Rashes are nasty. These rashes can come out of nowhere or can be a result of a pre existing condition that will continue to flare up. Your skin could also become over sensitive and dry. None of these will work on your wedding day.
4. Hair Changes
If you’ve been losing your hair or noticing some more grays, slow down. Genetic conditions that cause hair loss will increase this symptom during this period of stress because it will attack the white blood cells to the hair follicle and stop growth and put them in a resting phase- causing them to fall out.
Having some stomach issues? It’s stress. Nausea is a symptom of worry when you’ve been obsessing about an issue that is anxiety inducing. Try to calm down and reevaluate if this is an issue that needs this much obsession.
Reduce your worry and stress by taking time to yourself and relaxing. Even a couple hours alone can help you feel better. However, visit a doctor if this isn’t going away or getting better or you feel like it’s really effecting your life.
We cannot believe our amazing New York showcase is already over! It was such a great event and thank you so much to everyone who came and participated in the event.
The doors of ESPACE opened at 4 P.M. and brides began to flood in to enjoy the amazing tables and booth designs from our luxury vendors. Couples walked in greeted by a gorgeous Canopy entranceway, which led into our ceremony and reception rooms packed with vendors eager to chat. Brides sampled delicious treats from Carlo’s Bakery, Crumbs, Carb Coma, Silk Cakes, and AYZA Wine and Chocolate Bar, all while sipping Grand Mayan Tequilla, ZICO coconut water and more. There were glamorous mini-makeovers from Victoria Elizabeth Makeup, Metamorphisis New York, Makeup by Josephine, and DM Celebrity Hair so our brides-to-be can look and feel their greatest the day of, without a sweat. Unique table designs and sky-high centerpieces completed the rooms from Simply Nia Design, Topsey Turvey Tables, The Registry at Bloomingdales, Metro Floral Decorators, Allegria Hotel, and Ariston Flowers and Events. All the best photographers, wedding fashions, wedding registries, music and entertainment providers, hotels, and travel groups in the New York City area were featured.
Bride and Groom stickers filled the room on happy couples and we hope they found useful information! And to top it off, lucky brides-to-be left our event with a goodie bag featuring wedding magazines and product by Frederic Fekkai, Dove, TIGI Haircare, Nailtiques, Mercy and more.
