One of the first and most important steps in planning any wedding is determining where the big day is going to be held. Location is key when it comes to choosing the perfect venue to host a wedding!
Here are some tips to keep in mind when choosing a venue:
- -It’s better to upgrade at the beginning than at the end because most venues will give you an upgrade if you know what you want before signing the contract. This will save you money!!
- -Get an invoice of what everything will look like with a written confirmation that states “There are no added charges.”
- -Make sure to keep an open line of communication with the venue. If your trustworthy, honest and prepared, the sales people will help you get what you want.
There are several ways you can save money when booking a venue. The first way to do so is to book your wedding on Sundays, Thursdays, or during slower seasons (July-August and January-March). Also, do not do a champagne toast!! Use that money towards food or the bar. Lastly, if you can wait until you are closer to your wedding date, you will have the power to negotiate your way into a facility. The venue would rather have a day booked than leave it open!
