Our good friend Brenda, from Best Wedding Sites, recently shared some photos with us of an amazing bridal shower that she created which incorporated the perfect summer theme – strawberries!
“For this particular shoot, I wanted to create a unique and fresh bridal shower theme that would be perfect for the summer. Strawberries immediately came to mind,” says Brenda.”

Bridal showers are the perfect time to create a cute, sophisticated, feminine event and themed showers leave so much room for creativity.
Brenda explains, “My goal was to create a shower that is approachable by anyone. I wanted to use a sweet and special design that is budget friendly and makes use of items that are probably already around, or items that can be re-used after the event.”
Homemade paper garlands, swung from the tables holding fresh strawberries, red and white flower arrangements and delicious macaroons. Some unique presentation ideas that Brenda presented included muffins served on red glass candle holders and lemonade served in clear glass votive holders.

Shower guests were asked to bring along their favorite strawberry dessert recipe on a card that was enclosed with the strawberry inspired invitation. Not only was this a fun aspect of the theme, but the bride-to-be now has a wonderful collection to start a recipe box.
This casual, though refined afternoon was filled with strawberry-inspired snacks and drinks including strawberry parfaits, strawberry infused lemonade and strawberry spritzers.
The theme also allowed for a cute play on words to create an adorable “Thank You Berry Much” favor jar of strawberry jam !
